Hi! My name is Sima, and I'm 18 years old. This age is an amazing time when it seems that absolutely all the roads of the planet are open to you, and the air smells of opportunities and changes. If you try to describe me in a few words, you get a very simple but incredibly dear equation for my heart: languages, China, books and water. These are the four pillars that support my inner world, my dreams, and my daily habits.

I spend time studying every day: listening to podcasts in the languages I'm learning, analyzing complex structures, and watching movies in the original. For me, this is the best kind of meditation. The feeling when yesterday an incomprehensible set of sounds suddenly develops into a clear, beautiful thought in your head is pure dopamine. I love that feeling of progress when you overcome the language barrier and feel one step closer to a world without borders.

My main passion is languages and the endless world around me. For as long as I can remember, I've always been fascinated by how people find common ground. Literally and figuratively. Learning foreign languages for me is not just cramming vocabulary words or practicing tenses in grammar. This is the real key to parallel universes. When you learn a new language, you literally get a new personality, start thinking differently, noticing things that previously escaped your gaze, and understanding the mentality of other people.

Big Dream: A Trip to China Speaking of geography, China is the absolute queen of all my dreams. My love for this country began gradually, but it captured me completely. I am amazed at how China's deepest, millennia-old philosophy, ancient traditions, imperial gardens, dragon legends, and ultra-modern megacities of the future with glass, neon signs, and a frenzied pace of life are wonderfully intertwined.
